Directions to Delfines
By Ferry from San Jose
From San Jose, Costa Rica drive to the ferry docks in Puntarenus about 2 hours away and board the ferry. The ferry ride is approximately 1 hour to the town of Paquera located in the Nicoya Peninsula which is still a 19 Km drive to Tambor and Los Delfines. The entire trip should take you 4 hours plus the waiting time in Puntarenus.
By Car from Liberia
From the Liberia international airport you can drive to Tambor. The entire trip should take you 3.5 hours but the roads can be challenging and a 4×4 is recommended.
You can also drive the entire trip from San Jose by-passing the Ferry. This drive will take you approximately 5 hours.
Flying
From San Jose go to the commuter airport (Air Sansa) next to the international airport. Here you will board a 12 passenger commuter airplane and take a short flight to Cobano, Costa Rica. This flight will last 25 minutes and when you land you can take a taxi to Los Delfines Golf and Country Club. It is generally a good idea to arrange the taxi before you leave San Jose.
